Once students are past the "learning to read" stage and are "reading to learn", they are faced with an increasing amount of expository text. 3D-Readers bridges these readers into purely expository texts. The primary goal of 3D-Readers is to train readers to apply metacognitive strategies to all text genres, in all types of formats.

The 3D-Readers Starter Pack contains 20 modules -- 10 topics in the Science area written at two decoding levels. Additional Module Packs will be available on additional Science topics, as well as Language Arts and Social Studies content. The Module content is based on national and state standards. The Science Modules are aligned with American Association for the Advancement of Science, National Science Education Standards, California, Texas, and Wisconsin state standards. Correlations to other state standards will be considered upon request.
