| The use of Visual Strategies to improve reading comprehension is unique to 3D-Readers™.
Visual Strategies include the creation and automatic scoring of interactive visualizations or mental models.
The idea behind a Visual Strategy is to build a picture that matches what a student should be imaging after reading a text.
First, the reader is asked to visualize a simple static image - called a Brain Cloud™. Later in the text, the reader has two opportunities to construct mental models that are text-specific, interactive, and automatically scored. The goal is to create readers who are no longer one or two dimensional - but are 3D visualizers! |
