T3-Training the Tutors/Teachers is a suite of professional development modules to guide tutors (including teachers, volunteers, and para-professionals) in how to work with struggling readers.
Many teachers have aides in the classroom, but often these aides are volunteer parents or tutors from the community who have almost no literacy training. T3–Training the Tutors provides advice and vignettes about how to increase reading skills in readers at various levels of literacy skill. Upcoming modules include how to work with students in small groups and how to incorporate rap and hip hop into literacy lessons.
